The Marketing & Community Manager role is central to building Semapa Next’s external brand, European ecosystem presence, and community engagement — ensuring that we punch above our weight in visibility, network access, and founder support.
What you will be doing
Brand & Marketing Strategy
Contribute to build and execute Semapa Next’s brand strategy, ensuring consistent positioning across digital, media, and events.
Own content marketing (LinkedIn, newsletters, reports, blog) to showcase portfolio success, Semapa Next insights, and thought leadership.
Community Building
Manage and deliver Semapa Next’s portfolio and community events (e.g., Portfolio Leadership Days, networking events).
Foster relationships between portfolio companies and the European ecosystem, encouraging knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
Ecosystem Engagement
Organize and represent Semapa Next at ecosystem events, conferences, and partnerships with other VCs, corporates, and ecosystem partners.
Build relationships with Series A/B service providers, co-investors, and thought leaders.
Portfolio Support
Help portfolio companies with their own marketing, PR, and communications needs, leveraging Semapa Next’s network of agencies, advisors, and best practices.
Amplify portfolio companies’ success stories across Semapa Next’s communication channels.
Internal Enablement
Work with the Portfolio and Community Manager to integrate marketing analytics, CRM systems, and AI-driven tools to improve targeting, lead generation, and brand measurement.
Support the team in preparing Group communications, quarterly reports, and Semapa Next presentations.
What a great Marketing & Community Manager will have
5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or community-building, ideally in VC, tech, or high-growth startups.
Track record of building brands in the VC landscape and executing creative, data-driven marketing campaigns.
Strong experience in community management, including event planning and peer-network facilitation.
Excellent storytelling and content creation skills (written, visual, and digital).
Knowledge of marketing tools and platforms (preferably knowledge on the latest marketing tools).
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with ability to work across diverse stakeholders (founders, LPs, partners).
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working in a lean team where you take ownership from idea to execution.
